Terms and Conditions

1. The event coordinator will tag and mark the fish no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the event. 
2. Tag(s) will be supplied by Sports and Events Marketing Ltd via certified mail with a notarised statement describing the markings and numeric of the tag(s). 
3. The event coordinator will release the tagged fish into an area of water within the permitted fishing areas. The release of the tagged fish will be made at a reasonable distance away from prohibited areas.
4. Prior to the event, the event coordinator will screen a video of the tagged fish being placed into the area of water within the permitted fishing areas, which will show the area of water into which the tagged fish is released. No notification of the location of the tag on the tagged fish or the location of the release can be made prior to this video screening whether formally, informally, or in a direct or oblique manner.
5. All Tournament Rules apply to the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt. 
6. To win the $100,000, the tagged fish must be caught and claimed between 5.01am Friday 29 February 2008 and 4.00pm Saturday 1 March 2008. The tagged fish and the official tag must be presented to a tournament official by 4.00pm on Saturday 1 March 2008.
7. The first officially registered competitor to catch and claim the tagged fish wins the $100,000.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any registration and claim. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any competitor for tampering with the Tournament process or attempting to act in a fraudulent or otherwise dishonest manner. All decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. The Promoter and its related bodies corporate shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the Tournament.

Eligibility

10. Employees of the Promoter and any agencies associated with the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
11. A claim for the $100,000 can only be made by an officially registered competitor in the Beach Fishing competition or the Boat Fishing competition. 
12. Claimants must be over 18 years of age.
13. Professionals are not eligible for the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt. A professional is anyone who is or has been connected to, prepared for, engaged in, appropriated to, or pertained to the fishing industry for profit or gain. Anyone who pursues as a business in the fishing industry and/or who engages for money to compete in sporting events is not eligible.
14. It is acknowledged that as part of the event, fishing vessels and charter vessels will be used (whether deregistered or not) and as such, the owners/skippers of such vessels are ineligible to make a claim for the $100,000.However, officially registered competitors aboard such vessels are eligible to claim the $100,000.

Location

15. The location of the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt will be within the permitted fishing areas as defined in the Tournament Rules and the tagged fish must be caught in the permitted fishing areas as defined in the Tournament Rules. 

Sports and Events Marketing Ltd

16. All winner witnesses, directors, coordinators, and contract signee(s) will submit to a polygraph test should that demand be made by any representative of Sports and Events Marketing Ltd, its sponsors or the Promoter. Refusal will result in the forfeiture of the award.

Promoter

17. Details from all entries in the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this event which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the event, and for publicity purposes surrounding this event. By entering the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt, competitors consent to the use of their information as described without compensation.
18. The Promoter of the Lion Red $100,000 Fish Hunt is Lion Nathan Ltd, P.O.Box 23, Newmarket, Auckland.
